AutoCAD Electrical symbols – breaking the 99 pin wire connection barrier

Filed under: Electrical — nateholt @ 9:03 am

Protection/Control relays often have > 99 wire connections. If you need to show such a relay as a single smart AcadE symbol, there is a problem. The available wire connection attributes X?TERMnn, TERMnn, and TERMDESCnn come up short after number 99!  AutoCAD Electrical does not cleanly support going to a three digit suffix for these wire connection-related attributes.

Try this… after “99”, use “A1” thru “A9” and then “B1 thru B9”, and so on for the attribute definition suffix. AcadE is looking for unique suffix values of two characters, not two numeric digits. Give this a try and see if it works for you.
